At The End of The Century, Once Again I Set My Eyes On You

Girl, the next century is about to begin within a few hours.

It's a pity not to spend this very  moment with you that comes once in a thousand years.

Stars are twinkling in the sky, as if they are as well waiting for the arrival of the bells of Year 2001.

Yet the moon is round, glowing in soft light, as my sight becomes more and more blurry.

In the phantom, I see that the moon is your nothing but you, pretty and shining.

At this time of the year, be lovely friend, I wonder what you are thinking.

Ever remember our first day?  Even that eraser you lend me can't erase my memories.

Ever remember our last day?  Forever can that crystal clear green cross mark you in my heart.

Did you ever know, that I thank God for all that I was given.

For eighteen years, I have been traveling from this corner of Earth to the other side of the world.

For eighteen years, I have been drifting from the Rocky City to the Maple Town.

For eighteen years, I have not had a home, an ordinary home, a home-sweet-home.

But in the 13th year, I met you.  Since then I have been having a friend who is like a home--You.

In the classroom, you stared at the text, while I set my eyes on you, and our teacher stared at me.

On the little trail, you stared at the road, while I set my eyes on you, and the lamp drive stared at me.

On the way to Shang Hai, you stared at the sun, while I set my eyes on you, and the waves stared at me.

At my appartment, you stared out of the window, while I set my eyes on you, and the clock stared at me.

When writing letters, you stared at the pen tip, while I set my eyes on you, and my keyboard stared at me.

You may never set your eyes on me, but  I don't care.  If I can have a fresh start, I will againl set my eyes on you.

At the end of the century, I will again set my eyes on you.  You know why?

Because lots of friends can I have, but good friends only a few.  And only one single best.

And only do I set my eyes on the best.

At the end of the century, once again I set my eyes on you!
